Today, Apollo Hospitals is Asia’s foremost integrated healthcare provider – the group has an established presence across all the vital touch-points of healthcare delivery. The Apollo Group, recognised as a global centre of excellence in cutting-edge healthcare has touched the lives of over 65 million people from over 140 countries.
Apollo Advantage THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE AND COMPLETE COMMITMENT TO DRIVING EXCELLENCE IN THE BATTLE AGAINST CANCER
At Apollo Hospitals, our battle with cancer has seen several milestones and we stand on the cusp of a very major one. Apollo has pioneered several game-changing developments, and has set benchmarks in clinical excellence in cancer care. Cutting edge medical technology, stringent quality protocols and deep empathy have been the hallmarks of our cancer programme.
The fight against cancer has seen quite a few points of inflection, and has traversed significant changes in our mindset. Once cancer was considered a near invincible adversary, but today cancer care is practiced with one inherent premise - cancer is conquerable!
The Apollo Cancer Institutes have been at the forefront of Oncology for over two decades. Our journey began on 30th September 1993, when Dr. Reddy launched a dedicated state-of-the-art facility for cancer care, named Apollo Cancer Hospital. Our operations commenced with Medical Oncology in a 45-bed unit. Eventually, we grew to include other treatment modalities like Surgical and Radiation Oncology.
The reason for our growth can be found in our commitment towards expert cancer care. Apollo’s Cancer Programme is fuelled by innovation and a focus on excellence. Our credentials as India’s most trusted cancer care group stand on proven prowess across several vital parameters, one of them being our internationally trained and highly skilled team of Medical, Surgical and Radiation Oncologists.
The Cancer Group at Apollo Hospitals has over 125 Surgical and Radiation Cancer specialists, along with expert diagnostic consultants. To fortify the team of doctors in this journey, we have specially trained medical counsellors, speech therapists, dieticians and other professionals, as required by each individual patient. The team of doctors and support staff examine each case, and create a treatment blueprint best suited for the patient. To relieve the patient from physical and emotional strain, the hospital provides counselling sessions to make them stay positive and eat right – thereby speeding up the recovery process.
Apollo Hospitals has made unprecedented investments in next generation infrastructure and technology, and brought in the latest equipment in cancer care to India. Our success can be measured by the thousands of national and international patients each year who come from across the world.

Based on widespread statistical studies, the focus of the screening clinics is on those cancers which pose the greatest threat to our nation. Screening at Apollo Hospitals is undertaken with the most advanced methodology, which includes detailed examination, comprehensive testing, genetic evaluation and cutting-edge imaging. These tests play a critical role in studying tumour susceptibility, tumour initiation, and progression. These studies help in accurate diagnosis and prognosis of the cancer, in addition to guiding treatment decisions towards personalised care.
Next Generation Therapeutics
Highly specialised Molecular Profiling and Genetic Profiling have taken delivery to the next level. In Apollo's Genetic Profiling, the gene mutation of the cancerous cell is checked to predict whether the patient can respond to a drug or not.
